Dorsaalinen
Dorsaalinen is a term used in anatomy and biology to describe the back surface or the upper side of an organism or a body part. In quadrupedal animals, it refers to the side that faces upwards when the animal is standing. For humans, the dorsal side is generally synonymous with the posterior side, meaning the back of the body. This includes the back of the head (occiput), the back of the neck, the back itself, and the back of the legs.
The term is derived from the Latin word "dorsum," meaning "back." It is often contrasted with the
