The Doppler effect is the change in frequency of a wave in relation to an observer who is moving relative to the wave source. In Doppler technology, a wave, typically sound or electromagnetic radiation, is emitted and bounces off a moving object. The frequency of the reflected wave is compared to the emitted wave.
