Dolomitmárvány

Dolomitmárvány, often referred to as dolostone or dolomitic marble, is a metamorphic rock derived from the sedimentary rock dolomite. It forms when limestone or dolostone undergoes heat and pressure deep within the Earth's crust. This metamorphic process recrystallizes the original mineral grains, leading to a denser and often more visually striking material.

The composition of dolomitmárvány is primarily the mineral dolomite, a carbonate mineral with a chemical formula of calcium magnesium carbonate (CaMg(CO3)2). While pure dolomite is a significant component, dolomitmárvány can also contain varying amounts of other minerals like calcite, quartz, and various silicates, which contribute to its diverse coloration and textures.
