DoSSzenarien, short for Denial of Service Szenarien, refer to various scenarios or attacks designed to disrupt, degrade, or deny access to a network, service, or system. These attacks aim to overwhelm the target with excessive traffic or requests, rendering it unavailable to legitimate users. DoSSzenarien can be categorized into several types based on their characteristics and impact.

One of the most common types is the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, where multiple compromised systems, often part of a botnet, are used to generate a flood of traffic from different sources. This makes it difficult to mitigate the attack using traditional methods, as the traffic appears to come from legitimate users.
