Distalního is a Czech adjective derived from the Latin word distalis, meaning "far off from" or "at a considerable distance from the center." In medical and anatomical contexts, the term is used to describe a part of a structure that is situated farther from the origin or from a reference point. It is the counterpart to the adjective proximální, which denotes a location closer to the point of attachment or the body's center.

The word is commonly used in the description of limbs and appendages, where structures are classified as distal or proximal based on their relative position to the body. For example, the tip of a finger is distal in relation to the wrist, whereas the wrist itself is proximal to the hand. Distalního can also appear in discussions of vascular anatomy, such as distal blood vessels, which lie further away from the arterial supply’s origin.
