Dissosiaatit, also known as dissociatives, are a class of psychoactive drugs that induce a state of dissociation—detachment from one's physical body, identity, memory, awareness of one's surroundings, or sense of time. These substances are often used for their ability to alter perception, consciousness, and self-awareness.

The mechanism of action for dissociatives typically involves the blockade of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor in the brain, which is crucial for the transmission of excitatory signals.
