Devre
Devre is a Turkish word that primarily denotes a circuit or a phase in a process. In electronics, devre refers to a closed network of electrical components through which current can flow. A typical devre includes passive elements such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors; active devices like transistors and diodes; energy sources, switches, and interconnections on a printed circuit board or within an integrated circuit. Schematic diagrams are used to plan and communicate a devre, and analysis relies on Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's laws. Circuits can be arranged in series, in parallel, or in more complex topologies, and their behavior depends on component values and interconnections. Depending on the purpose, they may handle power, control signals, or information. In many cases, DC or AC operation matters and aspects such as impedance, frequency response, and phase become relevant. Engineers and technicians use modeling and simulation tools, such as circuit simulators, to predict performance before building hardware. Common applications include power supplies, audio and RF amplifiers, filters, digital logic circuits, and control systems.
Beyond electronics, devre also means a period, phase, or stage in a process or competition. For example,
