Deucalion is a figure from Greek mythology, son of Prometheus and Clymene. He is best known for surviving a great flood that destroyed humanity, along with his wife Pyrrha. This flood was sent by Zeus to punish the wickedness of mankind. Deucalion, warned by his father Prometheus, built an ark to escape the deluge.
