Derbi is a term used to describe a local or regional sports rivalry, most often a football match between two teams from the same city or region. In Spanish-speaking media, derbi (often written without diacritics) denotes such competitions, with examples including the Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid and the Seville derby between Sevilla FC and Real Betis.
