Depoter

Depoter is a term used in French and in some technical registers to describe the act of placing something into a repository or depot. Etymologically, it derives from dépôt, meaning a deposit or storage facility. The verb dépoter is not standard in formal French, where déposer is the common verb, but depoter appears in specialized or informal contexts and in bilingual or technical texts.

Usage in different domains can vary. In logistics and warehousing, depoter can mean moving goods to a depot for storage, consolidation, or dispatch. In information technology and software development, depoter is used in bilingual contexts to refer to uploading or publishing a software artifact to a repository, such as a package index or code repository.
