Depero was an Italian artist and avant-garde thinker, born Bartolomeo Ceccotti on October 30, 1892, in Sassuolo, Italy. In 1913, Ceccotti moved to Reggio Emilia and began to use the pseudonym Depero, which was later established as his official surname.
