Delegatore

Delegatore is a noun used in Italian to denote a person or organization that delegates authority, tasks, or responsibilities to another person or body. The term is encountered in legal, administrative, and managerial contexts and is closely related to delegante (the delegator) and delegato or delegatario (the delegate). In English, the direct equivalent is often delegator.

In standard Italian, delegante is more common for the person granting authority, while delegatore appears in various texts or domains and may be gendered delegatrice.
