Dekolonizacije

Dekolonizacije refers to the process by which colonies become independent of the colonizing country. This transition can occur through various means, including peaceful negotiation, armed struggle, or a combination of both. The decolonization movement gained significant momentum in the mid-20th century, following World War II, as a wave of nationalist sentiments swept across Asia and Africa.

Historically, colonial empires were established through conquest and political domination, with the colonizing powers extracting resources and imposing their own administrative, economic, and social structures on the colonized territories.
