Deivanai

Deivanai, also spelled Devayani or Devasena, is a prominent figure in Hindu mythology, primarily known as the chief queen and consort of Lord Murugan, the god of war and commander of the celestial armies. She is often depicted as a beautiful and virtuous princess, embodying devotion and unwavering loyalty.

The narrative of Deivanai's life is most famously recounted in the Kanda Puranam and other Tamil religious texts. According to these traditions, she was born as the daughter of Lord Indra, the king of the gods, and his wife Shachi.
