Danone S.A. is a French multinational food-products company headquartered in Paris. It focuses on four main areas: dairy and plant-based products, bottled waters, early life nutrition, and medical nutrition. The group markets popular brands such as Activia and Dannon yogurt lines in North America, Evian and Volvic waters, and infant nutrition brands Aptamil and Nutricia, Milupa, and others. It operates in roughly 120 countries and employs tens of thousands of people.

Danone traces its origins to 1919, when Isaac Carasso founded a yogurt business in Barcelona, Spain. He named the brand after his son Daniel, and the company expanded to France in the 1920s. Through the 20th century, Danone grew through acquisitions and diversification into bottled water and nutrition products, eventually forming a multinational corporation.

Danone S.A. is publicly traded on Euronext Paris and subject to French corporate governance. The group is led by chief executive officer Antoine de Saint-Affrique.

Danone emphasizes sustainable nutrition, with aims to reduce packaging, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and pursue net-zero emissions by 2050, along with commitments to responsible sourcing and water stewardship.
