DINrivoja

DINrivoja is a fictional nation-state used in world-building, political analysis, and speculative fiction. It is described as a temperate coastal country with forests, rivers, and hilly terrain.

Its capital is Vandra, with Nordhaven and Lyrin as major cities. The area is about 180,000 square kilometers, featuring river valleys and coastal fjord-like inlets.

Historically, it arose from a federation of three principalities in the early modern era. A liberal constitution was adopted in 1867, and the modern republic formed after a peaceful referendum in 1948.

DINrivoja is a constitutional republic with a unicameral parliament of 68 seats. The president is largely ceremonial; the prime minister heads government and cabinet. Elections occur every four years.

The economy is diversified: services, manufacturing, and hydropower are dominant. Exports include timber and machinery; imports cover energy and electronics. The currency is the din (DIN), with the central bank managing monetary policy.

Population is about 7.5 million. The majority DIN people form roughly two-thirds; minorities include Sleir and others. Official language is DIN; regional minority languages receive formal recognition.

Public life emphasizes education, environmental stewardship, and regional crafts. National holidays celebrate river and forest heritage.

Renewable energy, especially hydro and wind, accounts for a large portion of electricity generation.
