DINVDEVorschriften, commonly referred to as DIN VDE Vorschriften, are a set of technical standards and guidelines published jointly by the German standards organization DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) and the VDE Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies. They cover safety, design, installation, testing and conformity for electrical engineering, electronics and information technology in Germany. The standards are issued as DIN VDE documents and often align with or adopt European EN or international IEC standards, frequently appearing as DIN EN or DIN VDE EN standards.

The scope of DIN VDE Vorschriften includes electrical installations, equipment safety, protection against electrical hazards, electromagnetic compatibility and related practices that ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems. They are used by manufacturers, installers, inspectors and certification bodies to specify requirements, evaluate compliance and support market access. The terminology and numbering structure identify the normative content and, in many cases, indicate whether a standard is a basic safety rule, a product standard or a testing guideline.

Publication and development are coordinated by DIN together with VDE, with input from industry, academia and other stakeholders. Although DIN VDE Vorschriften are normative references, they are not laws by themselves; they become legally binding when they are adopted by law, regulation or contract, or when referenced in procurement, building codes or certification schemes. They also underpin product conformity assessment, where VDE testing and certification services may verify compliance and issue VDE marks.

The DIN VDE framework is widely harmonized with European and international standards, reflecting Germany’s integration into global standardization while addressing national safety and quality requirements.
