Címkimentes

Címkimentes is a Hungarian term that translates to "tagless" or "label-free." It is most commonly used in the context of clothing and textiles. When an item of clothing is described as címkimentes, it means that the care instructions, material composition, or brand identification tag has been removed from the garment. This can be done for various reasons.

Consumers might remove tags to avoid irritation from scratching or to achieve a cleaner aesthetic. For some, the tag might be aesthetically unpleasing and they prefer to remove it for personal style reasons. In the manufacturing process, certain designers or brands may intentionally produce items without tags, especially for high-end or minimalist collections where a completely unadorned look is desired. This practice is sometimes referred to as "tear-away tags" or "seamless tags" in English-speaking markets, although címkimentes specifically refers to the state of being without a tag.

In a broader sense, the term can also be applied metaphorically to situations or concepts where there are no defining labels or categories. However, its primary and most frequent usage remains within the fashion and apparel industry.
