Cuesshared is a term used to describe a conceptual framework and software approach designed to enable shared management of cues in collaborative multimedia workflows. In this model, a cue represents a discrete instruction, event, or trigger that coordinates media, lighting, or performers.

The term is not tied to a single product or standard; it emerged in open communities during the mid-2020s as shorthand for bridging cue creation, distribution, and synchronization across multiple participants and devices.

Core concepts include a cue server or hub that stores and versions cues and cue sets, and client applications that subscribe to cue streams. Synchronization relies on a publish/subscribe transport, with access control, auditing, and conflict-resolution rules.

A cue is modeled with an identifier, a play time or timestamp, a type (for example audio, video, lighting, or text), and a payload describing parameters or asset references. A cue set groups ordered cues to form a performance sequence.

Typical implementations emphasize real-time transport, offline reconciliation, and pluggable authentication. Data formats are generally JSON or YAML, with pluggable storage backends for version history and asset references.
