Csongráds

Csongráds is the capital city of Csongrád County in southern Hungary. It is situated on the banks of the Körös River, approximately 15 kilometers north of the border with Romania. The city has a population of around 16,000 people, making it a relatively small municipality.

The history of Csongráds dates back to the Roman era. The Romans settled in the area due to its strategic location at the crossroads between the Danube and Tisza rivers.
