Csalogatók

Csalogatók, also known as cicadas, are insects belonging to the family Cicadidae. They are renowned for their distinctive songs and unique life cycle. These insects are typically large, ranging from 2 to 5 centimeters in length, with translucent wings and hardened, protective bodies.

Csalogatók are known for their extraordinary singing abilities. They produce loud, high-pitched sounds by vibrating their wings and tymbals, which are modified sound-producing structures. The specific songs vary based on the cicada species, and some are known to be quite complex and lengthy. Male cicadas sing to attract females and defend their territories, a behavior that is crucial to their success in mating.

The life cycle of csalogatók is characterized by extended periods of dormancy, typically lasting several years, during which they are underground as nymphs. As nymphs, they feed on plant sap from the roots of trees and other plants. Upon maturation, the nymphs emerge, molt, and undergo a final transformation into adults, after which they begin to sing and mate.
