Cryptosporidiumia

In the United States, for example, cryptosporidiosis is considered an important cause of waterborne illness. Preventative measures include regular hand washing, proper food handling and preparation, and the use of safe drinking water sources. In severe cases, treatment may involve antiparasitic medications, such as nitazoxanide.
