Couscouslike is a culinary term used to describe foods that resemble traditional couscous in particle size, appearance, and culinary use, but which may derive from different grains or starches. It encompasses small granules or pearls that are prepared in ways similar to couscous and are used as a neutral base for a variety of dishes.

Common examples include pearl couscous (also called Israeli couscous), as well as other small-grained products made from durum wheat, barley, millet, rice, corn, or gluten-free ingredients.
