Correx

Correx is a brand name for corrugated polypropylene sheets used for signage, packaging, and displays. The sheets are constructed by sandwiching a fluted polypropylene core between two flat outer liners, creating a lightweight yet rigid board. This corrugated plastic combines moisture resistance with the ability to be printed on and easily cut, drilled, or folded, making it a versatile material for temporary or reusable applications.

Typical Correx sheets range in thickness from about 2 to 6 millimeters and are produced in a variety of sizes by different manufacturers. The large-sheet format commonly used in signage is around 1.2 by 2.4 meters, but smaller and custom sizes are widely available. The surface accepts vinyl graphics, inks, and screen-printing, enabling durable outdoor signs and interior displays.

Common uses include yard or site signs, real-estate boards, political or event signage, temporary indoor displays, partitions in packaging, and prototyping or model-making. Because it is lightweight and weather-resistant, Correx is favored for short-term outdoor projects that require durability without the weight of other rigid boards.

Environmentally, Correx is polypropylene and is recyclable where local facilities accept PP products. It is not biodegradable, and disposal depends on local recycling streams; its durability encourages reuse to extend life before recycling.
