Cordae

Cordae Amari Dunston, known professionally as Cordae and formerly as YBN Cordae, is an American rapper and songwriter. Born August 26, 1997, in Suitland, Maryland, he grew up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and began releasing music as a teenager, building an online following. He rose to prominence as a member of the YBN collective (Young Boss Niggas) alongside YBN Nahmir and YBN Almighty Jay.

Cordae released his debut studio album The Lost Boy in 2019 to widespread critical acclaim for its lyricism, storytelling, and thoughtful exploration of personal and social themes. In 2022, he released his second studio album, From a Bird's Eye View, continuing to develop a lyric-driven approach and introspective subject matter.

He has been recognized for his skill within the hip hop community, including inclusion in XXL magazine's 2019 Freshman Class.
