Commonroot

Commonroot is a term used in multiple disciplines to describe a shared origin or base. It does not denote a single, formal concept, but rather a connecting idea used in different contexts.

In biology and ecology, commonroot is often used to describe a root system or network that is shared among individuals. In clonal plant communities, a single rootstock can give rise to multiple shoots, creating a common root system that supports several ramets.
