Comensation
Compensation refers to the total remuneration or reward an employee receives in exchange for their work. This encompasses not only direct financial payments but also indirect benefits and non-monetary rewards. The primary component of compensation is salary or wages, which is the agreed-upon amount paid for services rendered, often on an hourly, weekly, or annual basis. Beyond base pay, compensation packages frequently include variable pay elements such as bonuses, commissions, and profit-sharing, which are typically performance-based or tied to the company's financial success.
In addition to direct financial compensation, employers provide a range of indirect benefits. These can include
