Colloidlahused
Colloidlahused, often referred to as colloidal solutions or simply colloids, are mixtures where one substance of microscopically dispersed insoluble particles is suspended throughout another substance. The dispersed-phase particles have a size between approximately 1 and 1000 nanometers. Unlike true solutions, where the solute is dissolved at a molecular or ionic level, the particles in a colloid are large enough to be visible under a microscope, though not typically to the naked eye.
The key characteristic of a colloid is that the dispersed particles do not settle out over time.
