Chokgyurs
Chokgyurs are a traditional Tibetan nomadic group primarily found in the Dzachuka region of Qinghai Province, China. Their name, Chokgyur, is believed to derive from a historical figure or a significant geographical landmark. Historically, they were known for their pastoral lifestyle, herding yaks, sheep, and goats across the vast grasslands of the Tibetan Plateau. Their culture is deeply intertwined with Tibetan Buddhism, and their social structure traditionally revolved around family clans and community cooperation.
The Chokgyurs have a rich tradition of oral literature, songs, and dances that reflect their nomadic existence
