Centracitybased
Centracitybased (also written centracity-based) is a term used in network analysis to describe approaches that determine node importance and influence by centering the analysis on centrality measures. As a class of methods, centracitybased techniques do not rely on a single metric but combine multiple centrality scores—such as degree, betweenness, closeness, eigenvector centrality, and PageRank—to assess the prominence of nodes within a network. The resulting centracity score can be used directly for ranking or as input to broader decision-making processes.
In practice, centracitybased methods typically follow steps: compute centrality metrics for all nodes, normalize the scores,
Applications include identifying influential individuals in social networks, locating critical infrastructure hubs in transportation or communications
Advantages include leveraging established centrality concepts and producing interpretable rankings. Limitations arise from sensitivity to network
