Centerpanning
Centerpanning is a term used in audio engineering and music production to describe the placement of a sound source in the stereo field. Specifically, it refers to positioning an audio element directly in the center, equidistant from both the left and right speakers. This creates a mono image for that particular sound, making it appear as if it is coming from directly in front of the listener.
The use of centerpanning is a fundamental technique in mixing. It is often employed for the lead
However, overusing centerpanning can lead to a "flat" or uninteresting stereo image. Skilled engineers balance centered
