Cdr2p
Cdr2p is a protein that belongs to the CDK-related protein (CDR) family and acts as a regulator of female gametic cell fate pathway in plants. It is a phosphatase that mediates the regulation of female gametic cell fate indirectly, controlling embryo sac development. Cdr2p is localized in the cytoplasm and plays a significant role in the regulation of cell cycle and gametic cell fate during female gametogenesis.
Studies have shown that Cdr2p is involved in the regulation of redundancy mechanisms in plant that bypass
Research on Cdr2p has focused on understanding its interaction with other proteins, particularly type B ARABIDOPSIS
The study of Cdr2p has contributed to understanding the cellular components that define cell fate in plants.
