Cartosat2E

Cartosat-2E is an Earth observation satellite developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It is part of the Cartosat-2 series, which are designed to provide high-resolution imagery for various applications. Cartosat-2E was launched on January 12, 2018, aboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C40.

The primary objective of Cartosat-2E is to deliver panchromatic and multispectral imagery with a spatial resolution of 0.6 meters. This high resolution allows for detailed mapping, urban planning, infrastructure monitoring, and disaster management. The satellite carries an advanced panchromatic camera and a multispectral imager.

Cartosat-2E's data is utilized by both national and international users for a wide range of purposes. These include large-scale mapping, change detection studies, and providing inputs for geographical information systems. The satellite's advanced imaging capabilities contribute to ISRO's growing constellation of Earth observation satellites, enhancing India's capabilities in space-based remote sensing. The mission operations are managed from the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru. Cartosat-2E operates in a sun-synchronous polar orbit.
