Carabobo

Carabobo is one of Venezuela's 23 states, located in the north-central part of the country along the Caribbean coast. Its capital is Valencia. The state is a major industrial and commercial hub, with the port city of Puerto Cabello serving as a key maritime gateway.

The landscape blends coastal plains near the Gulf of Valencia with inland hills and the foothills of the Cordillera de la Costa. The climate is tropical, with a wet and a dry season, and temperatures that are generally warm year-round.

The region has a long pre-Columbian history and was a focal point during the Venezuelan War of Independence; the Battle of Carabobo, a decisive engagement, helped determine the country's path to independence. The state's capital, Valencia, and Puerto Cabello host cultural institutions, museums, and festivals. The University of Carabobo is a major public university with campuses in the state.

The state has a diversified economy centered on industry, logistics, and agriculture. The Port of Puerto Cabello is one of Venezuela's busiest ports, supporting trade and shipping. Valencia hosts manufacturing and service sectors, while agriculture includes fruit crops and livestock.

Carabobo is divided into several municipalities, including Valencia, Puerto Cabello, Naguanagua, Guacara, and others, which are further subdivided into parishes.
