CaMK1
CaMK1, also known as Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase I, is a serine/threonine-specific protein kinase. It is a member of the CaMK family of enzymes, which are activated by calcium ions and the regulatory protein calmodulin. CaMK1 plays a role in various cellular processes, including gene expression, neurotransmitter release, and cellular metabolism.
The activity of CaMK1 is tightly regulated. Upon an increase in intracellular calcium levels, calmodulin binds
CaMK1 has been implicated in numerous biological functions. It is known to phosphorylate a variety of downstream
