CVSnäytteenotto
CVSnäytteenotto, also known as chorionic villus sampling, is a prenatal diagnostic test that can detect certain birth defects and genetic abnormalities. It is typically performed between 10 and 13 weeks of pregnancy. The procedure involves obtaining a small sample of placental tissue, called chorionic villi, from the uterus. This sample can then be analyzed for chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome and cystic fibrosis, as well as certain other genetic disorders.
