CTSVs

CTSVs, or Cadillac CTS-V, refers to the high-performance variant of the Cadillac CTS sedan. Introduced in 2004, the CTS-V was developed by Cadillac’s performance division to compete with established luxury performance sedans from European manufacturers. The initial generation featured a 5.7-liter V8 engine, later upgraded to a 6.0-liter V8.

The second generation, launched in 2009, saw a significant increase in power with the introduction of a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine derived from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. This generation also offered a coupe and wagon body style alongside the sedan. The CTS-V was praised for its potent engine, sophisticated suspension tuning, and surprisingly refined interior for its performance capabilities.

The third and final generation, released in 2016, further escalated performance with a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine, producing over 600 horsepower. This iteration cemented the CTS-V's reputation as one of the fastest production sedans available, capable of supercar-level acceleration and track performance. It featured advanced chassis technology, including magnetic ride control and performance Brembo brakes. Production of the CTS-V concluded with the discontinuation of the CTS model line and its successor, the Cadillac CT5, which now houses a performance variant known as the CT5-V Blackwing. The CTS-V series is recognized for successfully blending luxury appointments with extreme performance.
