CRIverdier is a fictional municipality created for use in urban planning and public policy case studies. Positioned along the Verdier River in the imaginary Verdial region, the city spans about 65 square kilometers and accommodates roughly 120,000 residents in the scenario.

The city's history begins in the late 19th century as a railway junction and industrial town. Over the 20th century, CRIverdier diversified into services and research, with a program to retrofit older districts for modern energy efficiency.

Governance and administration are modeled on a mayor–council system. The council has 20 elected members representing five districts. The city administration emphasizes transparency, participatory budgeting, and climate adaptation planning.
