CNSAS

CNSAS stands for Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico, the Italian national Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps. It is a national emergency service dedicated to search and rescue operations in mountains and caves, as well as safety education and prevention related to alpine and cave environments. CNSAS operates within Italy’s broader civil protection framework and coordinates with regional and local authorities, emergency medical services, and the fire service when needed.
