CIFlike
CIFlike refers to a class of compounds that exhibit similar chemical or physical properties to those of the mineral fluorite (CaF2), also known as calcium fluoride. While not necessarily possessing the exact same chemical composition or crystal structure as fluorite, CIFlike materials often share certain key characteristics. These can include a cubic crystal system, a hardness in the range of the Mohs scale typical for fluorite (around 4), or a tendency to form similar types of solid solutions or ionic bonds.
The term "CIFlike" is often used in materials science and mineralogy to categorize newly discovered or synthesized
