CD8cytotoksisia is a term that refers to the cytotoxic activity mediated by CD8+ T cells. CD8+ T cells, also known as cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), are a type of white blood cell that plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune system. Their primary function is to identify and eliminate cells that are infected with viruses or other intracellular pathogens, as well as cancerous cells.
