CCföreningar is a term used in Sweden to refer to housing cooperatives, specifically those that are organized as a Bostadsrättsförening (BRF). These organizations are a common form of housing ownership in Sweden, allowing residents to collectively own and manage an apartment building or a group of houses. When an individual purchases an apartment in a CCförening, they acquire a right to occupy a specific unit, rather than outright ownership of the physical property itself. This right is represented by a share in the housing cooperative.

The members of a CCförening elect a board of directors from among themselves, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the property. This includes tasks such as collecting monthly fees (avgifter), maintaining common areas, handling repairs, and ensuring compliance with the association's bylaws. The monthly fees paid by residents typically cover operating costs, maintenance, and loan repayments for the entire building.
