Buttigieg
Pete Buttigieg, born January 19, 1982, in South Bend, Indiana, is an American politician and former naval officer who serves as the United States Secretary of Transportation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College in 2004 and studied at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, where he completed an MPhil. He later served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2014 with an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit.
