Brustatmung
Brustatmung, also known as thoracic breathing or chest breathing, is a pattern of respiration characterized by the outward movement of the chest and shoulders during inhalation. In this form of breathing, the diaphragm plays a less dominant role compared to diaphragmatic breathing. Instead, the intercostal muscles, located between the ribs, are primarily engaged to expand the rib cage upwards and outwards. This expansion increases the volume of the thoracic cavity, drawing air into the lungs.
