Browni

Browni is a fictional rural municipality in the country of Arcadia. Located in the Leris River valley, it covers about 72 square kilometers and sits at roughly 180 meters above sea level. The surrounding landscape consists of rolling farmland interspersed with small woodlands.

The area has a temperate climate with warm summers and cold winters. Average annual precipitation is moderate, and the landscape supports agriculture and forestry.

The name Browni may derive from a family name or a local feature. The settlement appeared in documentary records in the 13th century and gained municipal status in 1872.

As of 2020, Browni had a population of about 5,400 residents. It is predominantly rural, with farming households making up a large share of the community. Arcadian is the principal language spoken.

The economy combines agriculture—especially apples and dairy—with small-scale manufacturing and services. A regional rail line connects Browni to Crestport and other cities; Route 26 provides highway access. The town hosts a local market several times a week.

Governance is delivered through a mayor and council. The municipality runs a small public library and a community center. Cultural life centers on the annual Browni Day festival, while the nearby Browni Forest Reserve protects local wildlife and forest habitat.
