Bronzewings
Bronzewings are a group of ground-dwelling pigeons native to Australia. The most common species, the Common Bronzewing, is widespread across the continent, inhabiting a variety of habitats from forests to arid scrublands. They are also known as "bronze-winged pigeons" due to the distinctive iridescent patches on their wings, which flash a coppery-bronze color in sunlight. Another species, the Brush Bronzewing, is found in the eastern parts of Australia, favoring denser vegetation.
Bronzewings play a role in seed dispersal as they consume various plant materials. They are generally solitary
