Brenha

Brenha is a small settlement in the eastern part of Kosovo, near the border with North Macedonia. The settlement is located in the Gjilan Municipality, a part of the District of Gjilan.

Geographically, Brenha is situated at an elevation of approximately 650 meters (2,133 feet) above sea level. The settlement is surrounded by hills and forests, with the nearby Berim River flowing through the area. The climate in the region is characterized as temperate, with cold winters and warm summers.

Brenha has a small population, primarily consisting of Albanians. The local economy is predominantly based on agriculture, with farmers growing crops such as wheat, corn, and various fruits and vegetables. Some residents also engage in livestock farming, raising animals such as cattle, sheep, and goats.

In recent years, Brenha has seen some economic development, including the construction of new roads and infrastructure. However, the settlement still lacks basic amenities such as a hospital, a school, and a well-developed sewage system. Despite these challenges, the residents of Brenha have maintained their traditional way of life, with many still relying on agriculture and animal husbandry for their livelihood.

Brenha's cultural heritage is largely influenced by its Albanian population. The local community has preserved traditional customs and practices, such as the celebration of Albanian holidays and the observance of Islamic traditions. Visitors to the area can still see remnants of traditional architecture, such as old stone houses and churches, which add to the region's cultural significance.
