BovenHardinxveld
BovenHardinxveld is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is part of the municipality of Hardinxveld-Giessendam. Historically, BovenHardinxveld was a separate municipality until it merged with NederHardinxveld in 1957 to form the municipality of Hardinxveld-Giessendam. The village is situated along the Merwede river, a former branch of the Rhine. Its name, "BovenHardinxveld," translates to "Upper Hardinxveld," distinguishing it from its counterpart, NederHardinxveld, meaning "Lower Hardinxveld."
