Bluraylevyissä
Bluraylevyissä, often referred to as Blu-ray discs, are a type of optical disc storage medium. They are the successor to the DVD format, offering significantly greater storage capacity and improved video and audio quality. A standard single-layer Blu-ray disc can hold approximately 25 gigabytes of data, while a dual-layer disc can store around 50 gigabytes. This increased capacity allows for high-definition video playback, often in resolutions such as 1080p, and supports advanced audio codecs like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Blu-ray technology utilizes a blue-violet laser with a shorter wavelength than the red laser used in DVD
Beyond movies and television shows, Blu-ray discs are also used for storing video games, particularly for consoles
