Bluemoor

Bluemoor is a small town and civil parish in the fictional region of North Vale, in Eldoria. It sits on the edge of Bluemoor Moor and beside Bluemoor Brook, about 25 kilometers northwest of the regional capital. The town serves as the parish seat and preserves a historic core amid rural surroundings.

Its landscape blends boggy moorland, a shallow lake to the south, and stands of oak and pine to the east. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and steady rainfall that sustain pastures and peatlands.

Bluemoor grew around a medieval crossing over Bluemoor Brook and gained a market charter in the 14th century. The town expanded with wool and grain trade, and a branch railway arrived in the late 19th century, linking Bluemoor to larger markets.

Today Bluemoor's economy relies on agriculture, forestry, and a small service sector that includes retail, tourism, and education.

Notable landmarks include the ruins of Bluemoor Abbey, the stone Bluemoor Bridge, and Bluemoor Wood. The community hosts an annual Bluemoor Moor Festival with traditional music and crafts. The town has a parish church, a primary school, and a public library.

Bluemoor is part of the North Vale District Council and has a village hall and market square. It is served by a regional railway on the North Vale Line and regular buses to neighboring towns; the nearest airport is in the regional city.
